How Do I Play Comet Chasers?
How do you win?
The goal is simple: end the game with the most points.
How long is setup?
Setup is quick and easy:
Choose your game length:
Short Game - 4 Track Cards, fast chaos, Silver Comet.
Normal Game - 6 Track Cards, deeper strategy, Golden Comet.
Shuffle the decks.
Roll for turn order.
Choose your character, grab 1 Momentum.
And you’re ready to play!
What does a turn look like?
Each turn has three phases:
Track Phase – Reveal a Track Card. Choose Safe (guaranteed reward + bonus) or Risky (roll the die vs. red/green odds).
Draw Phase - Draw two Item Cards, keep one, discard the other. Items can boost your momentum, sabotage opponents, or unleash total chaos. Rarity is shown by card border.
Play Phase - Play any number of cards, spend resources (Comets and Momentum), and trigger your character’s special ability. This is where wild combos and big swings happen — steal a Comet, upgrade, prepare, turbo your way ahead, or cause pure mayhem.
How does the game end?
The game ends when the Track Deck is empty which ends the game after every player takes their last turn.
Or when a player claims the Victory Card, in which every player who does not have the victory card takes one final turn.
How does someone win?
At the end, each player counts the points on their cards (points are shown in the top-left corner of each card). The player with the most points wins!
Strategy Tip: The Victory Card feels powerful, but it doesn’t guarantee victory. Sometimes patience is the real winning move.
